Construction of my country's first natural gas trunk pipeline directly supplying Xiongan New Area begins

The reporter learned from the National Pipeline Network Group that the first phase of the Mengxi Pipeline Project (Tianjin-Dingxing, Hebei), a key national natural gas infrastructure interconnection project, officially started on April 13. This project is my country’s first natural gas trunk pipeline directly supplying Xiongan New Area.
The first phase of the Mengxi Pipeline Project has a total length of 413.5 kilometers, a maximum pipe diameter of 1016 mm, and a total investment of 8.6 billion yuan. It will be completed by the end of June 2022. The project starts from the Lingang distribution station of the Tianjin LNG receiving station and ends at the Dingxing distribution station in Baoding, Hebei. It can directly supply Xiongan New Area with an annual designed transmission volume of 6.6 billion cubic meters.
The relevant person in charge of the National Pipeline Network Group said that after the project is completed, imported natural gas from Tianjin LNG can be transported to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and North China regions to ensure the gas supply for people's livelihood in the region; at the same time, it will cooperate with the Shaanxi-Beijing Second Line, Shaanxi-Beijing Third Line, China-Russia The natural gas trunk pipelines such as the East Line are interconnected with the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei natural gas branch network and the gas storage clusters in North China, effectively playing the role of liquefied natural gas receiving stations and gas storages in ensuring peak load regulation in the region, and driving economic and social development along the routes. At the same time, we will promote regional green and low-carbon development.
