basic concept

Traditionally, clean energy refers to energy that is environmentally friendly, meaning environmentally friendly, with less emissions and less pollution. However, this concept is not accurate enough, and it is easy for people to mistakenly think that it is a classification of energy, thinking that energy can be divided into clean and unclean, thus misunderstanding the original meaning of clean energy.

The accurate definition of clean energy should be: a technical system for the clean, efficient and systematic application of energy. There are three meanings: first, clean energy is not a simple classification of energy, but refers to the technical system of energy utilization; second, clean energy not only emphasizes cleanliness but also economy; third, the cleanliness of clean energy refers to the emission standards.

Renewable energy refers to energy whose raw materials can be renewable, such as hydropower, wind power, solar energy, biomass (biogas), geothermal energy (including ground and water sources) and tidal energy. There is no possibility of energy depletion with renewable energy. Therefore, the development and utilization of renewable energy has attracted increasing attention from many countries, especially those with energy shortages.

Basic Information

energy

Energy is the substance that provides energy conversion to nature (mineral energy, nuclear physics energy, atmospheric circulation energy, geographical energy). Energy is the material basis of human activities. In a sense, the development of human society is inseparable from the emergence of high-quality energy and the use of advanced energy technology. In today's world, energy development, energy and environment are issues of common concern to the whole world and all mankind, and are also important issues for my country's social and economic development.

Clean energy and its meaning include two aspects:

(1) Renewable energy
It can be replenished after consumption and no or very little pollutants are produced. Such as solar energy, wind energy, bioenergy, hydro energy, geothermal energy, hydrogen energy, etc. China is currently an international clean energy giant and is home to the world's largest solar, wind and environmental technology companies.

(2) Non-renewable energy

Minimize pollution to the ecological environment during production and consumption, including using low-pollution fossil energy (such as natural gas, etc.) and fossil energy processed with clean energy technology, such as clean coal, clean oil, etc.

Although nuclear energy is a clean energy source, it consumes uranium fuel and is not a renewable energy source. The investment is high, and almost all countries, including those with the most advanced technology and management, cannot guarantee the absolute safety of nuclear power plants. Chernobyl in the former Soviet Union The nuclear accident in Japan, the Three Mile Island accident in the United States, and the Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan all have a very large impact. Nuclear power plants are especially the main targets of war or terrorist attacks. After being attacked, they may have serious consequences. Therefore, developed countries are currently slowing down their efforts. To build nuclear power plants, Germany is preparing to gradually close all current nuclear power plants and replace them with renewable energy, but the cost of renewable energy is higher than other energy sources.

Renewable energy is the most ideal energy source and is not affected by energy shortages. However, it is also affected by natural conditions, such as the need for water, wind, and solar resources. The most important thing is that investment and maintenance costs are high and efficiency is low. Therefore, The cost of generating electricity is high, and many scientists are now actively looking for ways to improve the efficiency of using renewable energy. They believe that with the shortage of earth's resources, renewable energy will play an increasingly important role.
