Recently, Guoneng Group donated 1 million yuan in assistance funds to Yong'an Village, Yong'an Town, Tuquan County, Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, a designated assistance point. According to the work arrangements of the agencies and enterprises directly under the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to provide targeted assistance to the poverty-stricken Gacha villages in Xing'an League, the company launched paired assistance with Yong'an Town in August 2011, and has so far invested a total of 6 million yuan in poverty alleviation funds in Yong'an Town.

Yong'an Town is located in the mountainous area at the southern foot of the Greater Khingan Mountains, one of the concentrated contiguous poverty-stricken areas. It is a township in the northernmost part of Tuquan County, a national-level poverty-stricken county. The town has a total of 238,600 acres of cultivated land, 214,000 acres of forestland, and 82,000 acres of pasture. Industry is its main source of income. Since traditional agricultural and animal husbandry production is restricted by climate and other natural factors, the economic return rate is low.
Xie Jiachang, a poor household in Yong'an Village, Yong'an Town, calculated an account for us: Their family cultivates 40 acres of corn. When the weather is good and the price is stable, the yield of corn per mu is 0.7 yuan per catty, excluding various costs. The income per mu is only 400 to 500 yuan, and the family's income from farming is only about 20,000 yuan. Such a meager income is very difficult to support a family of seven. The son's serious illness a few years ago and the subsequent long-term treatment not only saddled the family with heavy debts, but also lost the main labor force, completely dragging this originally poor but happy family into the abyss of poverty.
The survey shows that among the 3,189 poor people in Yong'an Town, those like Xie Jiachang's family who are impoverished due to illness, disability and lack of labor account for more than two-thirds of the total poor population. In accordance with the national and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's precise poverty alleviation work requirements, the company formulated a poverty alleviation plan to support the development of the black fungus breeding industry in Yong'an Town based on scientific planning and precise policy implementation based on the geographical conditions, climate characteristics and actual situation of the poor population in Yong'an Town.

"The climatic conditions in Yong'an Town are more suitable for planting fungus. First, the temperature difference between day and night is relatively large, and second, the sunlight is relatively sufficient. With the strong support of the local government and our company, Yong'an Town began trial planting of fungus in 2016, and obtained the The harvest is very good, each fungus stick can yield about 1 to 1.2 taels of dried fungus, and the net income per stick is more than 1 yuan after the cost. The people have gained real benefits from growing black fungus," said the company's representative in Yong'an. Wang Guangming, the poverty alleviation cadre of Yongan Village in the town, introduced.

"A few years ago, our son owed a lot of money for his medical treatment. Now he takes medicine every day and can't do heavy work. The two of us are over 60 and can't do it anymore. The daily management of growing fungus is not too troublesome, and it doesn't delay the family's crops. , the work is not heavy and can be done by the elderly and people with poor health. You can earn cash by planting the land in the fall, and you can earn money by harvesting the fungus in the summer. The results are quick and you don’t waste time. I earned more than 10,000 yuan that year. If the next two crops of fungus are good this year, I will earn more than 20,000 to 30,000 yuan," Xie Jiachang said with a smile on his face.

In recent years, with the funds provided by the company and the technical support provided by government departments, the financial and technical bottlenecks that restricted the rapid development of the edible fungus industry in Yongan Town have been solved. The edible fungi, especially black fungus, cultivation industry in Yongan Town has developed rapidly. Develop and grow. At present, Yongan Town relies on the Yongan Cuntong Lamagou Edible Fungi Cooperative and Yongfa Village Gufeng Fungi Industry Co., Ltd. to grow more than a dozen varieties of fungus, shiitake mushrooms, king oyster mushrooms, etc., with an annual production of 3.2 million mushroom sticks.
The development of the edible fungi industry not only brings huge profits to poor households and ordinary growers engaged in edible fungi cultivation, but also creates a large number of jobs for local villagers, which greatly promotes local economic development.
"We come here to work every June. When we are done working in our own fields, we come here to earn some money. The fungus-picking is a half-day job if it is not tiring. We stop working when it is too hot at noon. You can earn about 80 yuan a day. If there is no such industry like other places, you can only be idle after doing the work on your own land," said Huang Qingxian, a villager in Yong'an Town.
Since 2011, with the company's paired assistance, the number of edible fungus greenhouses in Yongfa Village, Yong'an Town has reached a total of 350, and the industrialization of edible fungi has been successfully realized. Driven by poverty alleviation industries such as edible fungi, the per capita income of Yongan Town has increased from 2,800 yuan at the beginning of assistance in 2011 to 6,200 yuan now, and 178 poor households have successfully lifted themselves out of poverty.

At the same time, the company is also actively involved in the infrastructure construction and people's livelihood improvement work in Yong'an Town. In accordance with the goals of "green land, clean water, clean roads, good homes, and beautiful scenery", it has invested in and completed safe drinking water projects for 561 households in Yong'an Town. , and helped them complete the work of street civility improvement, village environmental sanitation, courtyard and dilapidated house renovation, etc. Through years of unremitting efforts, Yongan Town has initially formed a new rural style with distinctive characteristics, clean environment and beautiful shape.

"This year, the company's 1 million poverty alleviation funds are planned to be used for the maintenance and expansion of the existing factory building and the updating of equipment at the fungus planting base in Yong'an Village, Yong'an Town. The existing factory has an annual production capacity of 100,000 sticks and does not have the conditions for large-scale production. After the new base is completed, the annual output will be 500,000 sticks. The cost of our fungus sticks is two yuan per stick. Based on the current market price of fungus 30 to 35 yuan, the minimum profit from one fungus stick is only one yuan. 500,000 sticks can help the villagers. Earn 500,000 yuan, and by supporting the development of the fungus industry, we can achieve the goal of driving surrounding poor households out of poverty as soon as possible and become well-off."
