"China's Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Industry White Paper 2020" expert review meeting was held in Beijing

On March 23, the academician and expert review meeting of "China's Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Industry White Paper 2020" (hereinafter referred to as "White Paper 2020") was held in Beijing. Liu Guoyue, deputy secretary and general manager of the Party Leadership Group of China Energy Group and chairman of the China Hydrogen Energy Alliance, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
In his speech, Liu Guoyue expressed his gratitude to the participating academicians and experts and put forward three suggestions for the work of the China Hydrogen Energy Alliance. He pointed out that first, the China Hydrogen Energy Alliance Research Institute should start with the white paper, further gather the forces of all parties to strengthen strategic leadership, study and formulate specific action plans for hydrogen energy development paths to help carbon peak and carbon neutrality, and continue to achieve carbon neutrality. Research on the development of hydrogen energy under scenarios; second, further improve the capacity building of the China Hydrogen Energy Alliance and research institutes, conduct extensive cooperation, open innovation, and build a national-level hydrogen energy industry think tank; third, further improve the application and transformation of research results , especially in the aspects of platform construction, project promotion and achievement implementation, the improvement of original innovation capabilities and the main position of enterprise innovation must be placed in a more prominent position.
Yu Zhuoping, director of the China Hydrogen Alliance Expert Committee and professor of Tongji University, made a report on the main contents of the "White Paper 2020". Academicians and experts such as Xu Guanhua, Qian Yong, Huang Qili, Cao Xianghong, Yi Baolian, Gu Dazhao, Du Ping, Dai Yande, Jiang Lijun, etc. reviewed and discussed the core content of "White Paper 2020" and put forward revision opinions. Many academicians and experts also conducted in-depth discussions on the development trends and prospects of hydrogen energy. Academician Xu Guanhua pointed out that attention should be paid to renewable energy, hydrogen production by electrolysis of water, and the improvement of traditional technologies, highlighting the strategic significance of using hydrogen as a medium and energy storage in renewable energy, and clarifying the important role of distributed hydrogen energy in benefiting the people. The China Hydrogen Energy Alliance must fully mobilize member units to work together to develop the hydrogen energy industry.
"China's Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Industry White Paper" is the flagship report created by the China Hydrogen Energy Alliance. "White Paper 2020" focuses on the low-carbon and clean hydrogen supply system under the vision of carbon neutrality, and elaborates on clean hydrogen through detailed facts and data. Development trends, my country's low-carbon clean hydrogen energy development prospects and key technologies under a carbon-neutral scenario, provide industry reference and policy, investment and financing suggestions for my country's hydrogen energy and fuel cell industry from a scientific and data perspective.
Since General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed the vision of carbon neutrality in 2020, the academic and industrial circles have become more consistent in their consensus on the development of hydrogen energy. The China Hydrogen Energy Alliance organized industry, academia and research forces to conduct a systematic study on the green development goals and paths of hydrogen energy. The writing team has conducted in-depth research and exchanges with more than 20 units, and has also cooperated with the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the International Energy Agency, the International Renewable Energy Agency and the ASEAN Economy The institute conducted a special study on classification and finally compiled a white paper.
